<I>SOFAR Calendar</I></div> <bR> <div> SOFAR hold occasional field trips throughout Newcastle, Port Stephen's, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and surrounding areas.  We advise you to check this page for regular updates.  We hold several trips a year some daily and some over night. </div> <bR> <div> If anyone has suggestions for outings, easy to access and walk around in, with plenty of wildlife please give the current committee a call or email the Secretary at <A HREF="mailto: sofar@hunterlink.net.au" TARGET="_top" TITLE="mailto: sofar@hunterlink.net.au"><U>sofar@hunterlink.net.au</U></A>.</div> <bR> <div> <I><B>Field Trips: </B></I></div> <bR> <div> Remember to prepare for these outings. Wear strong clothing, covered footwear and bring a torch at night.  Make sure your footwear is clean to avoid introducing any unwanted spores into or out of the walk sites.</div> <bR> <div> Nil organized at this stage however there are plans to start regular trips to the ponds at Kooragang Island that SOFAR helped set up, along with a regular field trip to another local site.  As soon as these are arranged the details will  be listed on this page.  </div> <bR> <div> We are planning a field trip to Blackbutt Reserve.  When dates and detail are booked they will be available on this page.</div> <bR> <div> <I><B>Community Events:</B></I></div> <bR> <div> Blackbutt Reserve - Carnley Avenue, Kotara.  Saturday 6th September 2008 10 AM - 3 PM</div> <bR> <div> Hunter Region Botanic Gardens - 2100 Pacific Hwy, Heatherbrae.
