General characteristics: They grow between 4.5 cm - 6 cm. Most active from spring - summer. This frog is found along creeks in the mountains south of the Hunter Valley to Victoria. This species is described as one of Australia's most beautiful tree frogs. They are a light to dark brown on the head and back, a flash of green on their cheeks and flanks with light orange in the groin. Breeding season is October through to December. Males can be heard calling during October through to December. Eggs can be found November and December. Tadpoles can be found December and January.
Diet: Mainly insects and other arthropods.
Habitat: Wet and dry sclerophyll forests and woodlands along the coast and ranges, around rocky creeks and stream beds.
Status: Secure
Call: A sharp harsh scream followed by a soft trill.
