IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON WINE LABELS
If you require a quote for artwork on a wine label you can help us by providing some initial information. First, it's helpful to get any sketches or ideas you may have for your particular branding. Then we need to know the bottle shape and colour. Is it a normal 750ml shiraz bottle? Or the more tapered white wine shape in green glass?
It might also help if you included the quantity of labels required. All the legal requirements such as alc/vol, preservatives and antioxidants etc can be supplied at a later date, along with the winemaker's notes and the history of the wine.
This much at least is helpful for us to create several designs from which you can choose. Once this process has been undertaken, we can give an accurate quotation for the cost of supplying finished art to the printer of your choice. Alternatively, we can obtain several quotations from printers then broker the work out to the most suitable quotation for a small surcharge.
Remember, the greatest cost in obtaining wine labels is the printing itself. The design is a relatively minor expense compared with what you'll be paying the printer. However, it is essential to have arresting artwork for your branding, even if you don't plan on filling bottle shop fridges with your wine just yet.
We can't emphasise too highly the importance of registering any trade names you may want to use to market your wine. If it's to be called Smelly Possum Chardonnay (our apologies to anyone who may already be using this name), then register the name Smelly Possum immediately.
