Local member Tim Owen
announces funding for Hannell Street crossing upgrade
Following
representations from local residents, Bicycle Ecology Centre and NCM, State
member for Newcastle Tim Owen has announced that Roads and Maritime services
have allocated $275K to upgrade safety at Hannel Street cycleway crossing.
Congratulations to all who sought and worked for this improvement.

Kotara, NCM now has access to a GPS to help with mapping local

As from Tuesday 8th March 2011, all NCM
Committee Meetings will be held at The Adamstown Club (formerly
known as Adamstown RSL) on Brunker Rd, Adamstown.
Meetings are held 7-9pm on the second Tuesday each month.

NCM Proposal for Copenhagen Bike Lanes in Newcastle
After some
detailed input by a number of members, NCM has prepared a proposal
for the installation of Copenhagen style bike lanes into Newcastle
along either Hunter Street or King Street. During May, 2010,
this was presented to NCC for their consideration and discussion on
the proposal .
