Vicky & Imants have been our hosts for the last seven years and have provided a superb venue that is extremely comfortable, quiet & clean. It serves as a perfect base the enjoy the fruits of the Hunter Valley (especially the grapes). It enables us to socialise and relax in a warm & friendly atmosphere, and the food cooked by Imants is of an extremely superior quality.

We have already booked for November 2010 for our 10th year. We cannot speak highly enough of Abernethy Guesthouse, and highly recommend it to anyone wishing a relaxing time in the Hunter Valley.

Thankyou Vicky once again for a lovely stay. It is so quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was beautiful. We came here to trace the family tree and found the blocks of land our grandfather owned and the mine he worked in when he came out from Russia. We will be back! If we win the lotto we will buy it!

We have just had another relaxing weekend at Abernethy House - our 5th return visit. On behalf of our group of 16 we would like to say a very sincere thank you to Vicky and Imants.

We all agree our yearly visit to Abernethy House rates a 10 out of 10 for hospitality, friendliness, atmosphere, comfort, cleanliness and culinary delights. Thank you Vicky for catering for those with special dietary requirements with a freindly smile - greatly appreciated.

We all look forward to our yearly get togther as we can spend the weekend relaxing in the peace and quiet of the rural location, enjoy a few wines without having to worry about driving and feast on the truly excellent home cooked meals on offer.

Thanks Vicky for a great weekend. Warren and I enjoyed our earlier stay so much we returned with 18 friends who all had a great time thanks to your hospitality. The food was excellent and the amenities were great, especially having access to a disabled bathroom. We will return!
