1/7/03...Last post from China [for a while at least]. Sometin' DIFF was cool, thanks to everyone especially Paul and Nicole for making it happen. I don't have the words to express the things I feel as I make my exit. There are many of you who have helped me and made this past two years so amazing...you know who you are so thanks for everything...I'll never forget you. 1/5/03...Latest iteration in the development of the new site. Thanks to Paul at Chaos I have ditched the frames layout and adopted a tables based format - hope this works for everyone...let me know if you experience problems...evolution eh! :-)

17/5/03...UPDATE ...live beta version of aiffhead. As suggested below I am moving toward a new phase in terms of web presence. Look for a new and more "professional" situation.

Just returned from a bike ride to buy food and supplies for the evening. The second Sometin' DIFF was advertised as this evening but has been postponed due to the the SARS outbreak...look for a new Somethin' DIFF in June all being well.

14/5/03...The days are full of the sense that SARS is really re-shaping China significantly...The situation is somewhat unsettling and made doubly so because of the lack of information here. Thanks to Wangjianshou for the insight and info...it makes a difference...Also to Lawrence at the Shanghai Guide for what is probably the reality...these images tell a story that revealing.

11/5/03...Still in SARS mode in Shanghai...this is one of the more interesting sites reporting on the unfolding drama within the city...We were visited by the MUTATION crew from Berlin recently. This is a cool collaborative project...

This is the first stage of a series of developments that mark a more serious and "professional" attitude to web presence...

I am thinking about a new book, making a remix of an Autecre track and trying to redifine my meagre web presence...It's been a beautiful sunny day in Shanghai...the start of the holiday was too but in fact a serious cloud hangs over us...an invisible one...a potentially deadly one...it has impact everywhere...our new plans fpr Sometin' DIFF 2 have even been put on hold...

5/1/2003...Well...long time no write...actually not the case because I have been occupied completing my MA-lot's of writing...but I've finally done it...

...Profile-Intermedia 5 was amazing and for me very successful in terms of what I felt I achieved...now I'm looking at staying in Shanghai and seeing what happpens...I love Newcastle but I think I want to try to do something else...not neccessarily here but then again if I can do something interesting here - why not ...it's definetly a happening place in some ways...Going to Bangkok in a week or so to chill for a few days going to the markets...should be great...got a new track up finally....it's taken a while for many reasons....it's brutal!

Nothing much else to report...will try to add to the site sometime soon. I've got some ideas bubbliing away about stuff...i always think of it but it gets pushed back or I'm zoned out trying to catch up...cheers

4/10/02...too much has happened since the last blog that I cannot go into detail...recently returned from Beijing...an amazing experience during National Week ...Profile-Intermedia 5 has mentioned us...looks like we may be in Germany in December...Look out for cross - cultural quirkiness to come...most time lately has been spent designing Chinese /English material for promoting the Quest show at work...It ended up the slickest school exhibition I have been involved in but was soured by the theft of a lot of my stuff [phone, camera, etc...

21/6/02...opps...well it's been a busy month...went to Thailand for a week and chilled out ...got lots of new music to listen to and swam a lot - kool...The Plum Rains have arrived in Shanghai...and to celebrate I have relocated the Black Cell site to Shanghai...it makes more sense now I live here...the original aiffhead mp3,com site will stay located in Newcastle for the moment anyways...mmmm first blog no links...

Also have a look at Integrated Arts DnB IV out of the States. It features the Futuremix of the track Kung Fu Address...thanx guys!
