Koolang Astronomical

Observatory

Koolang Observatory is a privately operated, public access, astronomical observatory and space science display centre. We operate most days and nights a week throughout the year. Yes, you do get to look through the telescopes - that is what they are for. For an educational and enjoyable astronomical experience visit Koolang.

We are about 2 hours drive from Sydney or Newcastle (NSW Australia) and about 3 hours drive from Kingsford Smith International Airport depending on the traffic!! Koolang is in Bucketty on the border of the Hunter Valley and the Scenic Central Coast. You can view a map inside this site.
