William James Eldridge was a bachelor iron dresser of full age when he married Elizabeth Ann Moore on 29 January 1865 at Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England. His father was shown as William James Eldridge, a baker and his surname Eldridge was crossed out and (what looks like) Wigley written below. The 1871 census shows William aged 25 born Stepney and the 1881 census shows him as J. W. Eldridge aged 34 born Bethnal Green. William has not been found in census before or after these two.
William and Elizabeth's son Benjamin Robert Eldridge first married Florence Edith Twitchin on 6 Aug 1893. The fate of Florence is unknown however Benjamin again married on 7 Feb 1897 to Annie Ryan at St Phillips, Stepney. In 1904 Benjamin pleaded guilty to having feloniously marrying Annie and was discharged on recognisances.

William and Elizabeth's daughter Jessie Mary Ann Eldridge is believed to be the Jessie Mary Ann Aldridge, shown as a spinster age 21 daughter of William Henry Aldridge iron worker, who married on 5 Oct 1902 at St Philips, Stepney, London.
