Joseph and Mary Eldridge had 7 children baptised at Breamore, Hampshire, England. The burials at Breamore of Joseph on 17 Sep 1821 aged 70 and Mary on 15 Oct 1823 aged 77 are assumed to be this couple.
Henry Eldridge, baptised 21 Jun 1807 at Breamore and a grandson of Joseph and Mary, was sentenced to life on 18 Dec 1830 at Winchester and transported to New South Wales on the Eleanor for his involvement in machinery breaking incidents on 23 Nov 1830 at Fordingbridge. He was shown as age 24 on arrival and as age 29 and on a bond when he obtained permission to marry Anne Brislane in 1836 at Newcastle NSW. No evidence of this marriage is known. He was granted a ticket of leave in 1844 in the County of Durham NSW. Henry was shown as a bachelor aged 53 when he married Ellen Const, a widow aged 37, on 7 Feb 1862 at Armidale. Henry died at Muswellbrook NSW on 23 Oct 1887 and was shown as aged 84. Ellen died on 2 Nov 1899 at the Newington Asylum Granville NSW aged 74.
Elizabeth Mouland, a great granddaughter of Joseph and Mary, married Jeffery Russell in 1860 at South Stoneham and they migrated to New Zealand in 1877 on the Hurunui with their three children Hester, Ann and Jeffery.
