No more Expensive Phoning and Faxing around in search of a part !

Improve Security and Independence

Competitive Advantage. Small = Big.

It will be less necessary to hold a large stock in order to satisfy your customer's needs.

Presentation - Image to the public.

Better, more accurate phone service. Printed Invoices and part labels. Less time spent waiting for someone to find their part.

Reporting and Bookwork - Virtually eliminated.

The Accounting module automatically records all sales (if you want) and can be used for balancing multiple bank accounts and for other business or personal finances. Reports and Graphs can be produced at any time on any aspect of business activities. All parts are easily traceable to the bike they came from for police reporting etc.

All software and usage costs are fully Tax Deductible.

This beats paying wages.

Wreckers Mate Answers to main Questions

What you were worried about.

What about all my stock ? Do I have to enter it all. NO. This has been seen as a major aspect of development. Three approaches have been adopted to cope with it. :- 1 You should enter all new stock as it comes in and eventually you will have most of your fast moving stock listed. 2 Any parts of special interest or value in your old stock should also be listed as time allows. If you don't they won't sell. 3 The WANTED facility of the system has been specifically developed to access unlisted parts. Response will be slower than if they were listed but if someone has it you should be able to find it for your customer. How much work is involved in entering an entire bike ? You don't need to disassemble every bike or list all it's components in order to use the system. Initially you can simply identify the bike itself and list it as Complete, All parts available. Then any search for any part for that bike will come up with that listing. As you sell parts off the bike you can automatically break down that section of the bike to it's component parts and then sell the part required. This is best understood by demonstration. Do I have to learn about Computers ? NO. The program is designed specifically to operate a Motorcycle Wrecking business. If you know about this then the program will make sense. However, You (or someone you employ) must learn to Operate the Program. FULL training is included in the sale price and the program WILL NOT be available to anyone who has not learnt to use it ! In other words, You decide who is to be trained and we will train them. When they are competent we will let you have the program. Can other users find out what I have in stock ? Only in respect of individual parts for specific bikes. Which is what we all want to be able to do, source a part. It would not be possible for another user to determine your entire stock or even a major part of it. Again this is best seen by demonstration. Can I use it to search for parts without listing my own ? Yes, you could, and at the beginning you probably will. But! If you never list your parts you will never sell them. Listed parts will sell without you doing anything. Without you even needing to get a customer in the door. This is Far better than having them sit around. One big wrecker said to me he would not list his parts because if another wrecker did not have it then the customer would eventually come to him anyway. Good point! But they probably won't come from interstate or they might go and buy a new part or find another wrecker who has it. Why should I sell parts at trade to my competition when I could sell at full price over the counter ? 1 Because you want them to do so for you. 2 Because it's far better than NOT selling it at all or holding on to it in the hope the right person will come along. The idea is to keep your money turning over, isn't it? Also, although the system suggests you offer a trade discount, you don't have to. You can list the part at your full counter retail price or even more for certain items which you would rather sell your self. You can even list No Price and anyone who wants it can make you an offer. Either way, The idea is MAKE THE SALE and not lose the customer. What will it cost me to List or Search for each item ? There is no charge for each individual usage. As long as you remain a member, the more you use it the greater the benefit to you. The more you list on the system the more you are likely to sell You can query the system as often as you like whenever you like.

Wreckers Mate Marketing & Pricing

How do I get into this ?

There are a number of Separate aspects to consider. 1 The Program itself. 2 Training and installation costs 2 The Computer it Runs on. 4 The National linkup facility. 5 Support and Upgrades. All these are available separately but work best together. The Program Itself. This is the complete system as outlined in the FEATURES sheet. You could just buy it alone and use it to help your business operate more efficiently. This is what most business software does and is all you would normally expect. So don't overlook the importance of this aspect. If you have or want a network with multiple terminals the program is network compatible. Some special pricing may apply. You can buy this outright with your own money for $4000 or Borrow the money from whoever you like or Pay it off to us at $400 a month for 11 months. This is a very reasonable price for such a system on it's own but it also includes the ability to access the National facility. Such systems are not normally offered on time payment by the developer. Training and installation costs. Because we believe very strongly that software is NO USE unless the users can USE it fully and properly we have decided to Insist that the training component be completed before anyone can purchase the system. Just buying the system will not help you at all. We want you to get all it's benefits right from the start. As a guide an estimate of $1000 has been made for full training. This includes :-Yourself and/or as many staff as you want to train. Preferably on your premises but not during business hours because of interruptions. A weekend would be good. As well as instruction and practice in all aspects of the wrecking program, operators will also be given a typing test and if necessary speed training (although very little typing is actually required). Where necessary operators will also receive instruction in basic computer operations such as copying files and backing up etc. We will be entering some of your own actual stock as part of this process so you will be able to use the system immediately from there on. Actual rates for training and expenses can be negotiated to suit your individual requirements, location etc The Computer it Runs on. This can really be any IBM PC compatible machine such as you may already have at work or at home. A Hard Disk will definitely be necessary and the machine should be used exclusively for this system, at least during business hours. Although any machine such as described above will work some of the older models could be quite frustratingly slow, especially when searching the national database. A new machine ideally suited would cost about $2000 to $2500 at current prices. If required we can put together a package including such hardware but would only arrange its purchase for you from a local source so you will have local back-up. Alternatively we could simply help you in selecting your own. The National linkup facility. The software to access this is included in the standard package but will be no use unless you receive and send in regular updates. An On Line system was developed earlier on but found to be Too slow doing queries, Too expensive in phone charges and Too error prone from using phone lines. The current system means that you will be posted an update disk every fortnight (or more often if you like) and you return a disk of your updates to the national database. All postage will be pre-paid and pre-addressed and guaranteed overnight to most centres. Although the updates will be slower than on line that is not really so important but Searching and Querying the national database will be much faster and involve no line charges. Initially files will be posted on Standard Floppy Disks but as the National database grows it will be necessary to change to a larger medium such as a Removable Hard Disk or and Optical Floppy disk. This will involve extra cost for drives to read these disks and the disks themselves which are quite expensive but will result in still faster operation. When this happens we will purchase the required drives in bulk and supply them to you for as long as you remain a member of the system. This way you will not have to outlay for the drives nor be liable for any damage to the disks in transit. This will be paid for by a corresponding rise in membership fees. This service costs only $6 per update at present (ie $3 per week) which only covers costs in operating it. This is payable 10 weeks in advance (ie $60) at a time to avoid paying small ammounts each time. Support and Upgrades. Support means a service for users so they can call for assistance with any problems they may encounter. Upgrades are when the developer releases an updated version of the program. This is either when a major improvement has been made or because of necessary changes to the mode of operation. Many developers of similar systems will charge in the region of $1000 per year for support plus charge from 1/4 to 1/2 the original cost of the software for an upgrade. One of the reasons for a support fee is to provide the developer with funds to continue refinement of the program. If full training has been done effectively the need for support in our case should be very minimal. In light of this and the fact that we are already receiving ongoing income by providing the National updates we will provide a continuous user support service included in the National system membership. Upgrades - In some businesses (eg Taxation) upgrades are necessary each year or more often as circumstances change. In our case it is not likely that such alterations will be required once the system is operating. Some adjustments will almost certainly be required in the initial stages but these will be considered as part of development and therefore at no charge. If the case arises that a fairly major upgrade is required at a later date it's cost would be spread equally amongst all current users at that time. This seems most fair in the circumstances as such an upgrade would probably not work with the original version and ALL users would need to upgrade at once.
