For most of us in Australia our ancestors came from overseas. For the Armstrongs way back it was most likely Scotland. They were a relatively large clan particularly between the 1300 to 1600s. But mainly due to the continual reiving amongst the Scots and the English their lands were eventually taken from them. Some were executed. Others left for places far away to begin life again, such as Ireland. Not all that much later others migrated to America, and a little later still, to Australia. And this is were we are at today.
