Kennel and Cattery waste elimination and conversion system
One of our original Vital Earth worm pit systems for elimination and conversion of animal waste to a value added by-product to fertilise soil. In this photo three modules are in use, however we supply just one module if need be.
This complete system as shown is an elevated enclosed version, we can supply just one or any number of modules, the economy version is a ground height system using the same treated pine box and comes with approx 20 kilos of compost worms which is more than enough to consume all the waste from up to 30 dogs and cats. As the worm stock multiplies you will also be able to put in place more pits with each pit able to grow out to a maximum of 50 kilos of worm stock in these proven 3 metre by 1.5 metre worm pits, this will allow for even more animal waste to be treated. Worm bedding is included in both versions. The situation is that without some satisfactory animal waste disposal, elimination and conversion system it is difficult to get local council approval now to open or maintain a dog kennel or cattery. With our system now proven over many years of eliminating animal waste and successfully converting this waste to a useful by-product, it is now easy to demonstrate to your local council that the problem of animal waste is now taken care of. This system is now nearly 15 years old and it is used Australia wide on a wide variety of animal waste materials. It is used at dairies on cow manure and also for horse, pig and sheep manure. The unique vermitent allows for access to both sides of the pit as well as keeping rain and wind out, it also caters well for the needs of the compost worms that need a light free environment to work effectively. This system has no smell and is suitable for any location and any type of animal waste or organic waste. It is easy to use and can treat 1000 kilos of waste material at any given time. It will make beautiful organic sweet smelling worm casts from any organic waste material that can then be used to enhance and top dress any soil. In built misters in the vermitent maintain the correct moisture.
