DBS Link

Product Description

Link provides ‘linking’ modules for connecting DBS to other mine based data sources or to field data loggers.

Drilling systems can support both Tablet style and PDA style field data loggers. Link can release a blast for the data loggers to collect. Field data loggers can then update the released blast and return the data via Link to the main database. We can supply software which connects directly to Link and is fully integrated into DBS or support third party field data loggers.

Some equipment production systems or fleet management systems can provide up to date data on the performance of the digging equipment. Equipment performance information can include instantaneous dig rate and position information. Link can connect directly to equipment performance systems to provide the drill and blast department with up to date information about the excavation of the blasts.

Data collected by automatic or semi-automatic data collection systems is not completely reliable. Before the data can be imported to DBS it must be validated. Link provides interfaces for each module for the efficient validation of the data.

Features

Link supports connections to drilling systems including:

  • Modular drilling system via POWERVIEW or flat file
  • Leica Tritronics drilling system via IMS
  • Caterpillar Aquilla drilling system via flat file

Link supports connections to equipment performance systems including:

  • Modular fleet management via POWERVIEW or flat file
  • Leica Tritronics fleet management system via IMS.

Link is in intuitive and easy tool to master, while hiding the complexity of sourcing data from various locations and formats.
