Special Movement Rules

Estalia

Like Spain on the original Diplomacy Map, Estalia has both a North and South Coast. Movement by fleet to this space must stipulate to which coast the move is to be made. The move must be legal in that the fleet must be able to reach the given coast from the starting space. Also a fleet cannot come in from one coast and leave by another.

Eataine

Similar to Costantinople on the original Diplomacy map, Eataine includes a channel by which a fleet can move from the Inner Sea to the Great Ocean South. The fleet must move from the Inner Sea to Eataine and then to the Great Ocean South and vice versa.

Athel Loren

Like Switzerland, Athel Loren is impassable in this game. My take that the Wood Elves tend to stick to themselves and it's very dangerous to enter their forest without asking first ;-)

Winning

The winner holds 15 provinces at the end of the players turn as per the Diplomacy rules. Alliances can be formed as per the Diplomacy Rules - although it would be hard to believe that the elves would ally with the Dwarfs ;-)

Suggestions for games with less than six players

Five Players

Tilea is a neutral territory as per the rules for Diplomacy.

Four Players

One player plays Ulthuan, another plays the Baddies. Another player plays the Pair of Brettonia and the Dwarfs and the last player plays the Empire and Tilea.

Three Players

First player is Ulthuan and Brettonia. Second player is The Empire and the Dwarfs. The third player is Tilea and the Baddies.

Two Player

You must be desperate for a game. I suggest you play chess instead...
