Welcome to the Web Site of the 3rd East Maitland Scout Group.

The Group is part of the Lower Hunter Division in the Hunter and Coastal Region in NSW Australia.
Maitland is a city of around 55,000 people located approximately 200 km north of Sydney and 30 km west of Newcastle.

3rd East Maitland was formed in 1968 and was sponsored by St. Peters (Church of England). Known as 3rd East Maitland (St. Peters), the Group met in the Church hall. In 1987, we acquired an old army drill hall on the condition that we move it from its location on the New England Highway in East Maitland to land in Jubilee Street East Maitland. This was a very large task and in 1989 the new hall was opened. The group became independent from the St. Peters in 1996.
