3. build a raft and sail it
4. launch a canoe and paddle it 200 meters

Boating Badge Green Level.
This badge is earned by a Cub swimming 50 meters fully clothed and then floating for 1 minute. Know how weather and water conditions effect boating and who to ring to find out about these conditions. Correctly wear and use a personal Floatation device. Then do Either :-
Canoeing:

1. Regular use a kayak or canoe and keep a log.
2. know the rules for safe boating.
3. Launch and recover your craft.
4. Be able to paddle forward, backwards and stop in an emergency.
5. Capsize your craft and bring it back to shore and empty.

Sailing:

1. Sail regularly and keep a log.
2. Show how to rig your craft.
3. Know the 'Rules of the Road' for sailing.
4. Show you can sail a triangular course.

3. Float on your back for 60 seconds in salt water or 30 seconds in fresh water.
4. Jump or dive from the edge of a pool.
5. Demonstrate a breathing exercise.
6. Explain the water safety rules and where it is safe to swim locally.

Swimmer Badge Blue Level.
This badge is earned by a Cub by

1. Jumping into water over your head, swimming 25 meters, turn and swim back.
2. Swim on your back for 25 meters using a resting stroke.
3. Explain the buddy system and the basic safety rules for swimming.
4. Do a racing dive and swim 50 meters using a racing stroke.
5. tread water for 1 minute fully clothed in a vertical position.

Swimmer Badge Green Level.
This badge is earned by a Cub by

1. Swimming 200 meters using the crawl or backstroke.
2. Doing any 3 of the following
   1. Surf dive in 1.5 meters of water fully clothed and then remove the clothing without touching either the sides or the bottom.
   2. With safety equipment swim on the surface for 50 meters with mask,snorkel and flippers.
   3. start at the shallow end swim 50 meters fully clothed using only 1 stroke. Then tread water for 1 minute.
   4. Explain and demonstrate a rescue method and mouth to mouth resuscitation.
3. Using a floatation device assume and hold the Heat Exposure lessening Position (help) for the 2 minutes.

Traveller Badge Red Level.
This badge is earned by a Cub doing 4 of the following

1. Obtain or make a map of your town and mark on it the route you take next time you go to a different part of town.
2. Show you understand how to read a road map and can read the distances of 4 adjoining towns.
3. List 4 local site you would show a visitor and write why you would show them to the visitor.
4. Plan an overnight trip you would like to take. Make a list of the things you would need to take and pack them in a bag.
5. Travel for 50km to a country town and use public transport for at least half of it.
6. Describe what happens at one of the following

This badge is earned by a Cub by doing 4 of the following

This badge is earned by a Cub by doing 5 of the following

3. Plan a trip of 50km and way out the route on a map and then navigate for your parent to get there.
4. Pack a case for three days away from home.
5. Make a first aid case for your car.
6. Produce a log of aircraft which come and go from an airport.The log should have 5 arrivals and departures, list the time and date and places. If you cannot visit an airport use a bus terminal or railway station.

Weather Badge Red Level.
This badge is earned by a Cub for

1. Discussing why it rains and sometimes why it does not for a long time.
2. Learning to read a thermometer. Use it to measure record and plot the temperature at the same time each day for 7 days.
3. Observe and record the weather at the same time each day for 7 days Using words or pictures like sunny, cloudy, overcast, drizzle, showers, rain, hail, storm.
4. Collect weather maps for 7 days and explain what they show.

Weather Badge Blue Level.
This badge is earned by a Cub by doing 4 of the following

1. Make a simple rain gauge. Use it to measure, record and plot any rain fall for 14 days.
2. Learn how to use a wet and dry bulb thermometer and calculate the relative humidity. Measure and record the humidity at six different times during a day.
3. Demonstrate 2 methods of determining wind direction without using a wind vane.
