Caltex CRL Championship

For this season only, Western and Southern Divisions were broken up into Central North, Central West, Murrumbidgee, South Coast, Southern Highlands, and Western Plains. The twelve teams played one round, with the best four advancing to the quarterfinals. The remaining six then played a second round to determine the other four quarterfinalists. The system was abandoned after this season.

The first round match between Northern Division and Northern Rivers was postponed due to rain. It does not appear to have ever been played.
