The Newcastle representative team toured the Northern Rivers District
in September. Matches were planned against Glen Innes, Ipswich,
Murwillumbah, Mullumbimby, Bungalow, Lismore, Casino, and Kyogle.
Apparently only the first two were played.

St George entered the competition after years of trying. The League placed them on a two year probation period to ensure their competitiveness.
Because of the departure of the Kangaroos in mid-July, only one round of 9 rounds was played, the second round being devoted to the City Cup.
