Brisbane

Brisbane joined the competition in 1988, together with the Gold Coast and Newcastle. Since then they have been arguably the most successful club, which is hardly surprising given that they have the backing of an entire state. Their current crop of stars may be fading, but a surge of talent rising through the ranks should ensure them success in future years.

Brisbane are/were the competition's only private club.
